Haaksbergen 27 March 2023 - TKF has become the first cable supplier to join the IRBC agreement for the Renewable Energy Sector. Within this agreement, solar and wind energy companies, industry associations, the Dutch government, knowledge institutions, NGOs and trade unions join forces to make international value chains more sustainable.
The aim of this accord is to promote internationally responsible business practices (IRBC) within the renewable energy sector. Together, all participants aim to investigate, identify and address risks and impacts on people and the environment in renewable energy sector activities and supply chains. This is done by identifying human rights and environmental risks throughout the value chain, including by jointly conducting due diligence and taking up improvement projects from this.
Signing the covenant is in line with our sustainability ambition. Sustainably connecting people and technology, where we have set challenges in terms of social and climate goals.
